Ti-3-8-6-4-4 (Beta C)&©|160;is heat-treatable to a wide range of strength levels, making it&©|160;appropriate for applications where very high strength, light weight and corrosion resistance are important. It has become a standard material for a particular niche of specialized applications which have included aircraft springs, underground tubes, and casing equipment for gas and oil well operations, due to its low elastic modules and excellent fatigue resistance. It has also been used in fasteners and high-performance auto racing applications. Beta C is also known as ASTM B348 Grade 19.
